Meet our trusted furnace manufacturers

We carry only high-quality furnaces from two well-known manufacturers with reputations for dependable products:

Daikin

With nearly a century in business, Daikin has grown to become the world’s largest HVAC manufacturer. The company’s furnaces–which are made in the USA–feature tubular stainless steel heat exchangers and are backed by up to a 12-year limited warranty.

Ruud

Ruud furnaces are known for their reliability at an affordable price point. Made by the same company behind Rheem furnaces, Ruud units feature highlights such as low profiles, second heat exchangers and up to 98% AFUE (annual fuel utilization efficiency).

What happens during the in-home consultation?

To help you find the right high-efficiency furnace during your free consultation, an HSP professional will…

  • Determine optimal furnace sizing: We measure your home and provide you with a computerized heat loss/heat gain assessment to ensure you get an appropriately sized furnace.

  • Guide you through your options: We share the furnace cost, warranty, efficiency and other important info for each model that's suitable for your home. Our experts will walk you through all of the pricing factors including installation, haul-away of your old unit, permitting, venting needs and more. They’ll also outline any available furnace rebates that could potentially save you hundreds of dollars.

  • Answer all your questions: We understand that replacing a furnace is a big decision and you may have questions about the process, cost, timeline or something else. Our techs are happy to explain how everything works to put your mind at ease.

  • Make a professional recommendation: To help you decide, our team will give you their picks for the make and model of furnace they believe–based on their assessment and your circumstances–is best-suited for you.

We will never attempt to sell you something you don't need. And because we trust the quality and durability of the furnaces we install, we're able to offer you industry-leading warranties (including select 12-year parts and labor) and furnace pricing.

High efficiency furnace FAQs

What is the difference between high efficiency and standard furnaces?

High-efficiency furnaces convert anywhere from 95-98% of the energy from gas into heat (as represented by its AFUE rating), compared to 80% in standard units. This means they need less natural gas to heat your home, which means lower energy bills for you.

How can I tell if my furnace needs to be replaced?

There are several signs to watch for: heating bills rising unexpectedly, noise coming from the furnace, as well as the need for frequent repairs or simply old age of the unit.

How long does it take to replace a furnace?

Furnace replacement can typically be completed in one day in 4-10 hours, depending on the size of the unit and assuming extensive ductwork does not need to be done.

How long will my new furnace last?

A well-maintained high-efficiency furnace can last 25 years or more.

Furnace maintenance tune-ups from HSP

Regular TLC is crucial for extending the life of your furnace, especially in a climate as cold as Minnesota . That means at least an annual maintenance to give a thorough checkup and cleaning of the parts that most commonly malfunction, such as the air filter, fan, igniter and heat exchanger.

Signing up for our Maintenance Plan secures for you a furnace tune-up, as well as tune-ups for other home systems, between September and April to make sure you’re prepared for cooler temps.

What Does a New Furnace Cost?

It is difficult to give a general cost for a new furnace as the final price is dependant on several variables, including size of home and existing ductwork.

To get a good deal on a replacement furnace, pay close attention to all the factors involved.

Why does cost vary so much?

The cost of a furnace depends on:

  • Size, layout & efficiency of your home
  • Furnace warranty
  • Equipment lifespan
  • Energy efficiency (operating costs)
  • Comfort/features
  • Air quality
  • Installation

A furnace expert from Home Service Plus will help you review each of these factors in your free in-home consultation. During your consultation, you can learn more about what determines the price of a new or replacement furnace, reviewing warranties and cost factors like ductwork, unit efficiency, and the possibility of permit updates. You choose from many reliable models with HSP furnace sales and installation.

Half of Installations Are Done Wrong?

Nearly half of all HVAC equipment is installed incorrectly and costs the homeowner an additional 30 percent on heating-cooling bills, according to estimates from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Why improperly installed furnaces are a big problem:

  • Up to 30 percent decrease on furnace performance.
  • Can reduce your furnace's lifespan
  • May void your manufacturer's warranty
  • Could endanger your home & family (CO poisoning, fire)

At Home Service Plus, we give you the best value on a new furnace by ensuring you get the right furnace with optimal installation. Our competitive furnace prices include installation of your new units and haul away of the old furnace, as well as industry-leading warranties - as long as 12 years! - because our licensed, certified and prescreened technicians ensure your installation is done right. Our technicians will be clear on what is necessary with each furnace installation, and we won’t charge you for anything without reviewing every factor for your approval first.
