Upcoming and current closures

With the winter weather and snow coming in, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, Michels Corporation, has cleaned up the work areas on 205th Street W. The crew is not planning to work from Thursday, December 22 to Monday, December 26. Traffic control measures were removed from the roadway yesterday to allow full access for snow plow efforts for the holiday weekend.

The crew plans to return next week on Tuesday, December 27 and finish replacing the project’s natural gas main on Thursday, December 29 between 204th Street W. and Jupiter Avenue. During this time, they will utilize daytime flaggers to keep two-way traffic. The lane closure just east of Jacquard Avenue will be put back up on December 27 to allow the last couple of days of pipe installation.

We thank you for your patience and wish you a warm and safe holiday season.

What will CenterPoint Energy do?

From mid-April into fall 2022, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractors will work in Lakeville along the following streets:

  • Maple Island Road from Buck Hill to 162nd Street W.
  • 165th Street W. from Maple Island Road to Ipava Avenue
  • Ipava Avenue from 165th Street W. to 202nd Street W.
  • 202nd Street W. and 205th Street W. from Ipava Avenue to Kenrick Avenue
  • Kenrick Avenue from 205th Street W. to 215th Street W.

While Michels Corporation will replace large-diameter natural gas steel main, Q3 Contracting will restore the areas affected by construction.
