Extreme Heat Protection: Effective when heat index reaches 95°F or higher

Your safety is our priority. When the heat index is forecast to reach 95°F or higher, we will not disconnect residential electric service for non-payment. Your electric service will stay on, and usage charges will continue to apply during protection days. We want to help you stay on top of your balance and avoid a larger bill later.

A few options that may help:

  • Payment arrangements — split a past-due balance into manageable installments.
  • Levelized Billing — spread your annual costs into equal monthly payments.
  • Assistance programs — you may qualify for Customer Assistance Fund or LIHEAP or other bill assistance.
  • Call 800-227-1376 if you would like to talk to a representative.
