What is Covered?

The Premier Exterior Line Care Coverage Plan covers normal wear and tear to the water line from your home's outer wall to your property boundary or well casing and the sewer/septic line running from your home’s outer wall to your property boundary or septic connection.

Premier Exterior Line Care Coverage includes:

  • Locating the blockage or collapse
  • Excavation to expose pipe
  • Pipe replacement or repair
  • Repair or replacement of seals and joints
  • Unblocking
  • Fitting external valves
  • Fusing
  • Pipe cutting

Like all the gas and plumbing repair plans, enrollment in Premier Exterior Line Care Coverage is optional.

Important Information

Eligibility

CenterPoint Energy natural gas customers who own a residential home, are solely responsible for its repairs, and are not aware of any current sewer/septic and water service line problems may be eligible.

Exclusions

Septic tanks; leaching fields; pumps and grinders; any non-conforming drain line, such as a basement or storm drain. Excludes thawing of frozen pipes and branch lines. Additional exclusions apply.

Coverage

Plan includes covered repairs, up to the benefit amount, for damage from normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence. Plan provides multiple service calls annually; each call has a benefit limit up to $7,000 with up to $1,000 for additional restoration. Plan covers the water line from your home's outer wall to your property boundary or well casing and the sewer/septic line running from your home’s outer wall to your property boundary or septic connection.

Making a Service Call

Your plan starts the day your order is processed. There is an initial 30-day waiting period before you can schedule a service call, providing 11 months of coverage during the first year. Upon renewal/reactivation (if applicable), there is no waiting period.

Cancellation

Cancel any time by calling HomeServe at 1-833-808-6705. If you cancel within 30 days of your start date, you will get a full refund (less claims paid, where applicable). Cancellations after the first 30 days will be effective at the end of the then-current billing month, and you will get a pro-rata refund (less claims paid), where applicable.

Renewal

The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price and is billed monthly through your utility bill. HomeServe is an independent company, separate from CenterPoint Energy.
