Save energy and money while keeping your home comfortable with high efficiency natural gas heating equipment.

Note: For rebate to apply, the new equipment must be listed and AFUE verified on the current Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) or ENERGY STAR®​ websites

After installation and before you complete a rebate application

Step 1: Paper application

  • Work with the heating company that installed your furnace to complete a paper application, including required signatures. Enter your email address if you want system generated emails about the status of your rebate submission.
  • Confirm that the invoice includes the required information:
    • The details of the heating system that was purchased, including the brand and complete model number and the dealer information. The invoice must match the information on the application. A proposal or estimate are not acceptable forms for proof of purchase.
    • IMPORTANT: Obtain a revised invoice if it doesn’t contain all the required information.

  • Once the paper application is complete with the required documentation.

Step 2: Rebate Processing

  • Rebate application must be submitted in the same calendar year that the equipment was installed. See Terms an​d Conditions​ for complete information about the rebate deadline.
  • From the time that CenterPoint Energy receives the completed rebate application please allow up to 10 weeks for rebate to be processed.
