Residential Heating System Rebate

Save energy and money while keeping your home comfortable with high efficiency natural gas heating equipment.

Note: For rebate to apply, the new equipment must be listed and AFUE verified on the current Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) or ENERGY STAR® websites

After installation and before you complete a rebate application

Step 1: Paper application

Work with the heating company that installed your furnace to complete a paper application, including required signatures. Enter your email address if you want system generated emails about the status of your rebate submission.
Confirm that the invoice includes the required information:
- The details of the heating system that was purchased, including the brand and complete model number and the dealer information. The invoice must match the information on the application. A proposal or estimate are not acceptable forms for proof of purchase.
- IMPORTANT: Obtain a revised invoice if it doesn’t contain all the required information.

Step 2: Rebate Processing

Rebate application must be submitted in the same calendar year that the equipment was installed. See Terms and Conditions for complete information about the rebate deadline.
From the time that CenterPoint Energy receives the completed rebate application please allow up to 10 weeks for rebate to be processed.
