Getting s​tarted​

  • Work with the fireplace dealer/retailer of your choice to determine the best natural gas fireplace for your home.
  • ​This rebate offer is only available for MINNESOTA residential heating customers who receive natural gas service from CenterPoint Energy.​​
  • The qualifying equipment must be installed between January 1 and December 31, 2026.​​

Note: For rebate to apply, the new equipment must be listed on the current manufacturer’s website.

After installation and before you complete a rebate application​

Step 1: Contact your fireplace dealer/retailer first

  • ​Contact the dealer that installed your fireplace to inquire if their company is submitting the rebate on your behalf, on CenterPoint Energy’s dealer-only online rebate form. Customers receive their rebate faster when the fireplace dealer submits the rebate online. 
  • Provide your email address to the dealer if you want to receive system generated emails about the status of your rebate submission.​

Step 1A: Paper application

  • Complete a paper application if the dealer doesn’t submit the rebate on your behalf. Enter your email address if you want system generated emails about the status of your rebate submission. 
  • Print out the completed application and obtain required signatures. 
  • Confirm that the invoice includes the required information: 
    • The details of the fireplace that was purchased, including the brand, model number, electronic ignition brand name of the fireplace and the dealer information. The invoice must match the information on the application. A proposal or estimate are not acceptable forms for proof of purchase. 
    • ​IMPORTANT: Obtain a revised invoice if it doesn’t contain all the required information.

​Step 2: Rebate Processing

  • Rebate application must be submitted in the same calendar year that the equipment was installed. See Terms and Conditions​ for complete information about the rebate deadline.
  • From the time that CenterPoint Energy receives the completed rebate application please allow up to 10 weeks for rebate to be processed.
