You’re on your way to getting safe, reliable natural gas and electric service. You can also easily add, transfer or stop service, because everything we do centers around you. ​​​​

To get started you will need:

  • CenterPoint Energy account number (if existing customer)
  • Move dates​
  • Payment method ready (for initial deposit if required)

Please submit the start service form seven (7) days before your scheduled move-in date to initiate billing cycle and begin gas service. Start service requests are usually completed within three (3) business days.

If you're already a CenterPoint Energy customer, but moving to a new location, you can request a service transfer.
