Financial assistance may be available to eligible low-income households for home heating needs through federally funded programs and crisis assistance offered by counties.

Energy Assistance Programs	This federally funded program helps pay heating costs for eligible customers.
Gas Affordability Program (GAP)	CenterPoint Energy offers this program to help eligible low-income Minnesota customers.

The Salvation Army HeatShare Program	HeatShare provides energy assistance year-round.
Minnesota law regarding active military personnel	Residential customers who have a household member in active military duty have disconnection protection.
County Assistance Programs	Minnesota county governments offer assistance programs to help residents in crisis.

Past Due Accounts

If your service is disconnected due to nonpayment, you will be required to pay the following before your natural gas service can be reconnected:

Past due balance
Late fees
Reconnection fees

$28.00 standard reconnection
$840 to $1,215 when digging is required
