Houston – Sept. 1, 2021 – CenterPoint Energy today announced the following leadership appointments:
Trey Kuchar has been named Vice President, Regulatory Relations and Policy. In this role, Kuchar will lead the team responsible for regulatory matters across all eight states of the company's natural gas footprint and for Indiana Electric, as well as state government affairs in several natural gas jurisdictions and local government affairs in Houston.
Kuchar began his career with CenterPoint Energy in 2002 and most recently served as Vice President, Gas Engineering and System Integrity. During his tenure with the company, he has held various positions with increasing levels of responsibility, including Vice President, Louisiana and Mississippi Operations, as well as operations and compliance roles in Minnesota and Texas. Kuchar is a longtime supporter of the United Way, National Education Association's Read Across America and the Salvation Army. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Texas.
Chasta Martin has been named Vice President, Customer Experience. In this role, she will provide strategic leadership to CenterPoint Energy's customer experience, including Customer Service, Credit and Collections and Billing, as well as Marketing.
Most recently, Martin served as Vice President of Regulatory Relations and Policy. During her tenure with the company, she also has held roles in Rates and Regulatory Affairs, Electric Operations and Customer Service organizations. Active in the community, Martin is currently involved with several nonprofit organizations, including Stepping into Strength and Keey for Kommunities. She serves as a board member for the YMCA of Greater Houston, the Association of Women in Energy, AIDS Foundation Houston and is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Martin earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Houston and a master's degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix.
Randy Pryor has been named Vice President, Distribution Projects and Grid Modernization. In this role, he will lead the company's distribution design and construction areas for overhead and underground, street lighting, clean air technologies as well as the overhead and underground system inspection programs, including vegetation management.
Prior to this role, Pryor was Vice President, Distribution Operations. He serves on the board for the Southeastern Electric Exchange and the Houston Downtown Management District. Pryor is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in economics and completed the Utility Executive Course from the University of Idaho.
Brad Tutunjian has been named Vice President, Electric Distribution Operations and Service Delivery. In this role, he will oversee the company's Electric Distribution Operations and Service Delivery organization, which focuses on improving service levels and implementing efficiencies for existing and new electric customers.
Tutunjian began his career in Houston in 1998 and has held various leadership positions in electric and natural gas operations, most recently serving as Vice President, Minnesota Gas. He serves on the board of the City of Minneapolis' Clean Energy Partnership, the American Red Cross Minnesota Chapter and the Minnesota Business Partnership. Tutunjian holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Texas Tech University and is a licensed professional engineer.
