On May 27, 2025, CenterPoint Energy announced the beginning of a thoughtful sales process for our Ohio Gas business.
On October 21, 2025, the company announced the sale of our Ohio Gas business to National Fuel, a diversified energy company headquartered in Western New York. The Ohio Gas business includes approximately 5,900 miles of transmission and distribution pipeline serving approximately 335,000 metered customers. CenterPoint expects the transaction to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.
