TIP: Since the water heater ratings changed, we’ve seen an increase in non-qualifying models submitted for rebates.

To make sure a customer’s water heater qualifies for a rebate, please confirm the model’s usage bin level, then the UEF rating both match the rebate specifications.

Cash for Dealers and Plumbers

Receive $20 for online submissions and $10 for paper submissions for each water heater rebate processed listing your company as the plumber/dealer.

In order for CenterPoint Energy to issue quarterly dealer incentive payment we must have a copy of your company's W-9 on file and your Dealer ID is active (by submitting rebates).  Contact RebateAccounting@CenterPointEnergy.com with questions.

How the Program Works

  1. Work with your customers to determine the best water heater for their home that qualifies for a rebate. Install between Jan. 1 - ​​Dec. 31 and submit the rebate application by Dec. 31.
  2. Complete an online rebate application for your customers and builders. First, please review the Terms & Conditions, then access the online rebate application.

    Customers will receive their rebate faster if you submit the rebate through the dealer - only rebate processing system. If your company chooses to use paper applications access the fill and print rebate form here.

    Note: You’ll need to attach an electronic copy of the dated sales invoice to your online application.
  3. Customers and builders need to allow up to 12 weeks for rebate processing from the time that CenterPoint Energy received the completed rebate application.

Note: This rebate offer is only available to Minnesota residential homes served with natural gas from CenterPoint Energy. ​​Rebates will be processed in the order that they were received and are paid on a first-come, first-served basis.​
