Residential Energy Efficiency Program
These programs provide incentives to registered Contractors for the successful sale, installation, calibration and reporting of ENERGY STAR qualified variable speed swimming pool pumps for residential single family homes located within the CenterPoint Energy electric distribution service territory.
Compared to a traditional Single Speed Pump, a properly installed and calibrated Variable Speed Pump can significantly reduce the energy required and financial cost associated with the filtration, cleaning and circulation of swimming pool water. Variable speed pumps provide for greater operational flexibility, quieter operation and a significantly longer useful life.
Qualified participating Contractors may join the program in order to apply for a fixed per-unit incentive payment for each qualified and documented installation.
