On the week of November 3rd, a crew from Michels, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, plans to continue connecting the service lines to the new main and moving inside meters outside on Sheridan Ave S, Penn Ave S, Vincent Ave S and Xerxes Ave S.


They anticipate that the service line and meter work on this road will take approximately 1 week. During this time, parking will be restricted on only the street that we are working on. We don’t anticipate any lane or sidewalk closures.


Week of 10/27

On the week of October 27th, a crew from Michels, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, plans to continue connecting the service lines to the new main and moving inside meters outside on Washburn Ave S, Sheridan Ave S, and W 47th street.


They anticipate that the service line and meter work on this road will take approximately 1 week. During this time, parking will be restricted on only the street that we are working on. We don’t anticipate any lane or sidewalk closures.


Week of 10/20

On the week of October 20th, a crew from Michels, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, plans to continue connecting the service lines to the new main and moving inside meters outside on Penn Ave S, Irving Ave S, and Sheridan Ave S.

In the week of October 6th, a crew from Michels, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, plans to continue connecting the service lines to the new main and moving inside meters outside on Upton Ave S and Morgan Ave S between W 49th street and E Lake Harriet Pkwy.


They anticipate that the service line and meter work on this road will take approximately 1 week. During this time, parking will be restricted on only the street that we are working on. We don’t anticipate any lane or sidewalk closures.

In the week of September 29th, a crew from Michels, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, plans to continue connecting the service lines to the new main and moving inside meters outside on Oliver Ave S and Penn Ave S between 52nd St W and E Lake Harriet Pkwy.


They anticipate that the service line and meter work on this road will take approximately 2 weeks. During this time, parking will be restricted on only the street that we are working on. We don’t anticipate any lane or sidewalk closures.

In the week of September 22nd, a crew from Michels, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, plans to begin connecting the service lines to the new main and moving inside meters outside on Oliver Ave S and Penn Ave S between 52nd St W and E Lake Harriet Pkwy.


They anticipate that the service line and meter work on this road will take approximately 2 weeks. During this time, parking will be restricted on only the street that we are working on. We don’t anticipate any lane or sidewalk closures.


Week of 9/8

In the week of September 8th, a crew from Michels, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, plans to begin connecting the service lines to the new main and moving inside meters outside on Russell Ave and Washburn Ave S between 52nd St W and Lake Harriet Pkwy.


They anticipate that the service line and meter work on this road will take approximately 2 weeks. During this time, parking will be restricted on only the street that we are working on. We don’t anticipate any lane or sidewalk closures.


Natural gas construction updates

For a few months beginning this September, CenterPoint Energy will replace natural gas infrastructure in South Harriet Neighborhood. Updates regarding the utility crew's location, traffic impacts and other details will be posted here regularly.


Before construction begins, an authorized contractor will be in the area to locate sewer lines in relation to natural gas lines. This is an important safety measure CenterPoint is required to take. It is possible a technician performing this work will need to access your home to locate sewer lines. Ask to see CenterPoint Energy identification before letting anyone in your home.
