​​Natural Gas Line Upgrades in Maple Grove - ​Project Updates  ​

Weaver Lake Rd - 11/26/25

In the week of December 1st, a crew from Michels, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, plans to begin replacing the natural gas main under the north sidewalk of Weaver Lake Rd between Fish Lake Rd W and Ranchview Ln N.


They anticipate that the main replacement on this road will take approximately 2 weeks. The right lane of westbound traffic along Weaver Lake Rd will be closed from W Fish Lake Rd to Ranchview Ln N.


Weaver Lake Rd - 11/14/25

In the week of November 17th, a crew from Michels, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, plans to begin replacing the natural gas main under the east sidewalk/boulevard of W Fish Lake Rd between Weaver Lake Rd and 79 Pl N. Natural gas main will also be replaced at the intersections of both 80 Pl N.


They anticipate that the main replacement on these roads will take approximately 2 weeks. During this time, a lane shift will be in place, with the northbound right turn lane closure of W Fish Lake Rd at Weaver Lake Rd. The right lane of westbound Weaver Lake Rd will also be closed through the intersection of W Fish Lake Rd.


Natural gas construction updates

For a few months beginning this spring, CenterPoint Energy will replace natural gas infrastructure in two locations in Maple Grove. Updates regarding the utility crew's location, traffic impacts and other details will be posted here regularly.


Before construction begins, an authorized contractor will be in the area to locate sewer lines in relation to natural gas lines. This is an important safety measure CenterPoint is required to take. It is possible a technician performing this work will need to access your home to locate sewer lines. Ask to see CenterPoint Energy identification before letting anyone in your home.
