Minneapolis - Highway 55 and Newton Avenue N.
Duration: June 30-31, 2020
Project Description: For one or two business days beginning June 30, CenterPoint Energy will repair a natural gas main at the intersection of Newton Avenue N. and the Olson Memorial Highway Service Road in Minneapolis. CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, Q3 Contracting, will restore the areas affected by CenterPoint Energy’s work.
Traffic impacts: During this time, the crews will close the intersection. For drivers heading west on Olson Memorial Highway (Highway 55), detour signs will lead them to Penn Avenue, 8th Avenue and Morgan Avenue. Parking will be restricted near the intersection.
These restrictions are anticipated in areas where active construction is occurring and are necessary to keep both the public and construction personnel safe. Local access will be maintained.
