Minneapolis - Fuller South Neighborhood - Project Updates

From spring to fall 2021, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractors will work in Minneapolis along the following streets: 50th Street W., Prospect Avenue, Longview Terrace, Elmwood Place W., 51st Street W., 52nd Street W., Valleyview Place, Pratt Street, Minnehaha Parkway W., Garfield Avenue S., Harriet Avenue S., Gladstone Avenue, Wentworth Avenue, Belmont Avenue, and 1st Avenue S.


While Michels Corporation will replace the natural gas main, connect the natural gas service lines to the new main, and move any inside residential meters outside, Q3 Contracting will restore the areas affected by Michels Corporation’s work. During this time, lane or parking closures may occur.


More details will be added closer to the project’s start date.

CenterPoint Energy has postponed the Fuller South Neighborhood project for a future year after 2020. We appreciate your patience as we continue to upgrade our natural gas lines. Have a safe season!

Project description: From the week of June 22 to late fall 2020, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractors will perform work in Minneapolis’s Fuller South Neighborhood.


Michels Corporation will replace natural gas mains, connect natural gas service lines to the installed mains, and move any inside residential meters to the outside of homes. Q3 Contracting will restore the areas affected by Michels Corporation’s work outside the limits of the City of Minneapolis’s Street Resurfacing Program.


Work will take place along the project’s selected streets between Lyndale and Stevens Avenues S. and between 50th Street and Minnehaha Parkway.
