This week, crews from Michels Corporation, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, began replacing the project’s natural gas mains on 23rd Avenue N., moving east. On Monday, March 29, the crews plan to start replacing the main on Xylon Avenue N.
From March 22 to late spring or early summer 2021, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractors will work in Golden Valley along 23rd Avenue N. between Aquila and Wisconsin Avenues N. and along the following streets between Medicine Lake Road and 23rd Avenue N.: Aquila, Zealand and Xylon Avenues N. and Rose Manor.
While Michels Corporation will replace the natural gas main, connect the natural gas service lines to the new main, and move any inside residential meters outside, Q3 Contracting will restore the areas affected by Michels Corporation’s work. During this time, lane or parking closures may occur.
