Project Resource(s)

CenterPoint Energy will be performing an electrical corrosion control survey on our natural gas pipeline. Pipeline inspections are mandated by Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations to routinely monitor and inspect our pipelines.

From Cambridge to Coon Rapids, a crew of about 2 or 3 CenterPoint Energy employees will be walking the length of CenterPoint Energy’s pipeline. This process will begin in the week of August 24 and last into mid-October 2020. The crews may walk along the pipeline’s length a couple of times throughout the project. The crews will have equipment to check that the pipeline is catholically protected. By performing these inspections on a routine basis, pipelines will continue to operate safely for years to come.
