How do natural gas water heaters compare with electric water heaters in operating costs?
Though savings will vary depending upon current gas and electric prices, natural gas water heaters always cost less to operate than electric. Natural gas water heaters recover faster than electric (a 40-gallon gas water heater recovers faster than a 70-gallon electric water heater), so you always have hot water when you need it. How much will my new equipment cost?
When comparison shopping, it is important to remember to compare everything--feature vs. feature, service vs. service—not just price. That’s because some companies may seem to offer a lower price, but will charge extra for installation or hauling away your old tank. The price you get from Home Service Plus includes installation, removal, warranties, and more. Plus, they’ll work with you to determine the right product and payment option to fit your budget.
What is the life expectancy of my new equipment?
The average life expectancy of a new natural gas water heater is 12 to 15 years.†
