Support that comes to you.

This year’s Community Connect events create opportunities for customers to connect with local CenterPoint team members directly in southwestern Indiana neighborhoods, workplaces and community spaces – so it’s easier for you to get help, ask questions and learn about resources.

Whether you want to talk about your bill, explore ways to lower energy costs or share feedback, or find out more about reliability and safety, Community Connects make it simple to connect with us where it’s convenient for you.

What to expect

Community Connects are free and open to all CenterPoint Energy customers. No appointment is needed. At most events, you can:

  • Talk one-one-one with a CenterPoint team member. Get help with your bill, ask questions about your account or discuss recent charges.
  • Learn about programs that may lower your costs. We’ll help you understand financial assistance programs, energy efficiency resources and other tools designed to help you save.
  • Share feedback. Tell us about your experience and priorities, and what support you’d like to see.

Bringing your account number is helpful but not required. Available resources may vary by event.

How we connect with your community

CenterPoint is committed to being present and accessible across southwestern Indiana. Through our Community Connect program, we engage with customers and communities in a number of ways:

In your neighborhood

We meet with customers at neighborhood association meetings, multi-family housing community rooms and other local gathering spaces to provide information, answer questions and connect customers with resources close to where they live.

Examples: Neighborhood association meetings, apartment and multi-family community rooms, local community centers

In the community

We join community organizations, nonprofit groups and local events taking place across the region, making resources and one-on-one assistance available where the community is already coming together.

Examples: Community resource fairs, nonprofit organization events, local festivals and civic gatherings

At your workplace

We bring resources and customer support directly to area workplaces, making it easier for customers to access assistance without taking time away from their day.

Examples: Major area employers, manufacturing facilities, healthcare systems, corporate offices

Ongoing community dialogue

We maintain ongoing dialogue with elected officials, civic organizations, community advisory groups and other stakeholders to stay connected to the priorities of the communities CenterPoint serves.

Examples: Meetings with elected officials, government board and commission meetings, stakeholder roundtables

Education

We collaborate with area schools and educational programs to provide hands-on energy demonstrations, STEM experiences and career awareness opportunities for students and community members.

Examples: Line crew demonstrations, STEM labs, collaboration with area technical and career programs

Behind the scenes

We provide a closer look at how energy is delivered through tours of CenterPoint facilities, including training centers and generating stations.

Examples: Power plant tours, training facility open houses
