
In recognition of America's 250th anniversary, the CenterPoint Energy Foundation's Energizing Veteran Resilience Grant Initiative is a community investment program focused on strengthening the well-being, stability, and long-term resilience of United States veterans. The program supports organizations delivering essential services, helping veterans overcome challenges, transition successfully to civilian life, and thrive in their communities.
Our Funding Focus
The initiative prioritizes programs addressing critical needs impacting veteran resilience:
- Mental health and peer-based support
- Transitional or stable housing assistance
- Daily living support such as transportation, benefits navigation, and basic needs
Grant Amounts
Grant awards range from
$5,000 to $25,000. Applicants may request funding within this range based on their program’s needs, capacity, and anticipated outcomes.
Key Dates & Timeline
- Applications will be accepted
May 1 through May 31.
- All eligible applications will undergo review by the CenterPoint Energy Foundation following the close of the submission window.
- Grant approvals will be announced in
late June.

- Grant program is open to any non-profit organization in CenterPoint Energy's utility service area.
