MINNEAPOLIS – July 2, 2012 – CenterPoint Energy recently received a Telly Award, which honors the finest video, film productions and work created for the Web, along with the best local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs. CenterPoint Energy’s bronze-winning video explains how the company can help customers save money on energy bills and make their home more efficient.

“The video was created to direct customers to visual answers on how to reduce energy and save money all year long,” said Amber Viehauser, project manager. “It’s an opportunity for customers to learn how CenterPoint Energy’s energy efficiency programs work.”

The company’s Conservation Improvement Program video was produced by Studio 120, a Plymouth, Minn.-based advertising agency with over 200 years of combined production experience. The award-winning video offers energy-saving tips, and information on rebates for natural gas equipment.

The Telly Awards are given out each year to inspire local and regional organizations to produce creative ideas and support the fine arts. The award is one of the most coveted by industry leaders, from large international businesses to local companies and ad agencies. This year, the 32nd Annual Telly Awards received over 11,000 submissions of video, film and web productions from all 50 states and five continents.
