Gregory Knight named division vice president of Customer Service for CenterPoint Energy

March 3, 2010 – CenterPoint Energy named Gregory Knight division vice president, Customer Service for the company’s regulated electric and natural gas operations.

Knight’s responsibilities include management of the electric and natural gas call centers, customer service training and quality assurance, and gas credit and collections. His group manages the needs of more than 5 million electric and natural customers throughout six states.

He brings to CenterPoint Energy more than 17 years of customer service and business operations experience in both the service and utility industries.
Most recently, Knight had been senior director at IKON Office Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of innovative document management systems and services. In addition to his work at IKON, Gregory spent three years at Reliant Energy, a retail electric provider.
Knight earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies, with a minor in Economics, from the University of Colorado in Boulder. He has also completed the executive management program at Rice University’s Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management.
Knight supports the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Missouri City Alumni Chapter mentoring program and Renegades Little League Football Team of Humble.
