CenterPoint Energy owns and operates over 2, 200 miles of transmission right-of-way including more than 30, 000 electric transmission towers and 250 substations. The transmission services team supports the installation, maintenance and repair of cellular equipment on CenterPoint-owned property for certificated communications companies and government entities within the state of Texas.
CenterPoint offers space on transmission towers and communication structures for cellular equipment installation with a wide range of tower heights and locations. Working with our team is easy - we offer a turnkey solution for your cellular installation needs including installation, modification, repair and maintenance.

Houston-area fiber optic network
CenterPoint Energy is your source for dark fiber leasing and new fiber construction. CenterPoint currently has multiple fiber optic network loops throughout the greater Houston region.
We have built 270 miles of fiber, with 90 percent buried in our electric transmission rights-of-way. We have over 3,600 miles of rights-of-way available for fiber installation. Project management activities include:
