At the
order of Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, CenterPoint Energy is turning off power to FLOODED dwellings included in the Mayor’s mandatory evacuation order for an area south of Interstate 10, west of Gessner Road, north of Briar Forest, and east of Highway 6/Addicks and Barker Cypress reservoirs.
The City of Houston is providing CenterPoint Energy the addresses of dwellings that are flooded This order does NOT apply to homes that have not been impacted by flooding. ONLY HOMES THAT WERE IDENTIFIED BY THE CITY AS FLOODED WILL BE DISCONNECTED. Disconnections have begun, and we will restore power when Mayor Sylvester Turner directs us to do so.
Natural gas service will NOT be affected.
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: Please be alert for imposters posing as evacuation rescuers. Our employees will be accompanied by a first responder (fire or police). Our crews and contractors also wear uniforms and carry i.d. badges that they will show upon request. Call the Houston Police to report any suspicious activity.
Por orden del alcalde de Houston Sylvester Turner, CenterPoint Energy cortará el suministro eléctrico de unas 4,600 viviendas inundadas incluidas en la orden de evacuación obligatoria del Alcalde (al sur de Interestatal 10, al oeste de Gessner Road, al norte de Briar Forest y al este de Addicks y Barker – Reservorios de Cypress).
La Ciudad de Houston nos dio tu dirección como una de las inundadas dentro de esas zonas.Restauraremos la energía en cuanto el Alcalde nos lo indique.
