When breakdowns happen, life comes to a halt and inconvenience sets in.
Many people do not know that basic homeowners insurance may not cover property damage due to normal wear and tear. It can cost up to $732** to repair a blower motor and wheel and up to $536** to repair a circuit board which are both components of your HVAC system. And it can cost up to $1,400** to replace a 40-gallon water heater.

Enrollment in the Essential Systems plan is totally optional.
CenterPoint Energy natural gas customers who own a residential home, are solely responsible for its repairs, and are not aware of any current Heating System, Cooling System, or Water Heater problems may be eligible.

Your plan starts the day your order is processed. There is an initial 30-day waiting period before you can make a service call, providing 11 months of coverage during the first year. There is a 90-day waiting period before your water heater can be replaced. Upon renewal/reactivation (if applicable), there is no waiting period.
Cancel any time by calling HomeServe at 1-833-808-6705. If you cancel within 30 days of your start date, you will get a full refund (less cost of work provided, where applicable). Cancellations after the first 30 days will be effective at the end of the then-current billing month, and you will get a pro-rata refund (less claims paid), where applicable.
The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price and is billed monthly through your utility bill. HomeServe is an independent company, separate from CenterPoint Energy.
