Getting started

  • Work with the heating dealer of your choice to determine the best heating and cooling system for your home.
    • We recommend you get multiple bids before deciding which heating dealer you will work with.
  • IMPORTANT- If you are interested in a ducted air source heat pump you need to understand that operating costs will vary depending on what the electric rate is from your electric utility/co-op.
    • Visit mnashp.org/cost-of-heat-comparison for annual energy costs information.
  • The qualifying ducted air source heat pump needs to be installed between January 1-December 31, 2025.
    • The technician needs to program the ducted air source heat pump to switchover at 40 degrees Fahrenheit or lower (4.5C). This means that the electric heat pump will provide the heating for the home when the outside air temperatures is above the switchover temperature.
  • This rebate offer is only available for MINNESOTA residential heating customers who receive natural gas service from CenterPoint Energy.
