Thermostat Rebate
New Construction
CenterPoint Energy's thermostat rebates offers up to $50 on qualifying thermostats installed in the homes that you build.

Thermostat requirements:
- Must be a Wi-Fi enabled programmable or smart thermostat and currently manufactured. Basic programmable thermostats are not eligible for new construction installations
List eligible thermostats - Can be installed by a dealer with or without a heating system installation
- Or can be purchased and installed by a customer
- Rebate cannot exceed purchase price of the product.
Work with your local dealer or retailer to select the best thermostat for your needs.
How the Program Works
If equipment is installed by a dealer:
- Review the
Terms and Conditions.
- Buy and install the best qualifying thermostat between Jan. 1 - Dec. 31.
- Have your heating dealer submit a rebate application for your installation (including electronic copy of the dated invoice) through our online rebate processing system.
Note: The thermostat rebate is processed through our heating system rebate program.
- Allow up to 12 weeks for rebate processing from the time that CenterPoint Energy receives the complete rebate application
If you install the equipment:
- Review the

- Buy and install the new thermostat.
- Complete a rebate application and provide the required invoice/receipt.
- Allow up to 12 weeks for rebate processing from the time that CenterPoint Energy receives the complete rebate application.
