CenterPoint Energy offers a ducted air-source heat pump rebate when used for hybrid heating with a high-efficiency furnace.
This rebate offering is independent of any federal tax credits or state, electric utility, or co-op rebate offers.
Getting started
- Work with your customers to determine the best natural gas heating system that qualifies for a rebate and cooling system for their home.
- Customers interested in a ducted air source heat pump should understand that operating costs will vary depending on their electric rate. Visit
mnashp.org/cost-of-heat-comparison for annual energy costs information.
- Install the qualifying ducted air source heat pump between January 1-December 31, 2025.
- The technician needs to program the ducted air source heat pump to switchover at 40 degrees Fahrenheit or lower (4.5C). Make sure your customers understand that the electric heat pump will provide the heating for the home when the outside air temperatures is above the switchover temperature.
- This rebate offer is only available for
MINNESOTA residential heating customers who receive natural gas service from CenterPoint Energy.
