Southwestern Half of Maple Grove - Project Updates

A crew from Michels Corporation, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, finished the project’s natural gas work. This included replacing the gas mains, replacing and/or reconnecting service lines to the new main, and moving inside meters outside.

With the City of Maple Grove working on their street rehabilitation project in the Buena Vista Terrace & Eagle Lake Trails Area, CenterPoint Energy’s other authorized contractor, Q3 Contracting, will restore the areas affected by Michels Corporation’s work outside the limits of the city’s work.

Crews from Michels Corporation, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, have been replacing the project’s natural gas lines and anticipate approximately three more weeks of gas work.

The first crew replaced all the project’s natural gas mains. The second crew has been replacing and/or reconnecting customers’ service lines to the new main and moving inside meters outside by appointment.

This week, the second crew began the service line and meter work on Balsam Lane N. between Deerwood Lane and 65th Place. They anticipate working on this road for approximately three weeks. During this time, parking will be restricted on both sides of the street in this area.

Q3 Contracting, CenterPoint Energy’s other authorized contractor, will restore the areas affected by Michels Corporation’s work outside the limits of the City of Maple Grove’s Buena Vista Terrace & Eagle Lake Trails Area.

This week, a crew from Michels Corporation, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, plans to begin replacing the natural gas main under the north boulevard and sidewalk of 65th Avenue N. between Balsam Lane N. and 65th Place N. They will also begin work out on Hemlock Lane N. on the north side of 65th Avenue N. They anticipate that the main replacement on this road will take approximately one week.

During this time, the north sidewalk on 65th Avenue N. will be closed temporarily along with the pedestrian ramp on the northeastern corner of Hemlock Lane N. and 65th Avenue N. There will also be a lane shift out on Hemlock Lane N. in this area. The crew will install the new main on Balsam Lane N., Evergreen Lane N. and Deerwood Lane N. following the installation on 65th Avenue N. Thank you for your patience while we complete this work.

In the week of April 10, a crew from Michels Corporation, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractor, plans to begin replacing the natural gas main under the north boulevard of 65th Place N. between Balsam Lane N. and 65th Avenue N. They anticipate that the main replacement on this road will take approximately one week. During this time, parking will be restricted on the north side of 65th Place N. in this area. Afterward, the crew will replace the main on 65th Avenue N. More details will come.

For several months beginning Monday, April 10, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractors will work along select streets in the southwestern half of Maple Grove.

Equix Integrity updates our records on the locations of sewer lines in relation to natural gas lines. Michels Corporation will replace natural gas mains, move inside meters to the outside of homes, and replace or reconnect service lines as needed. Q3 Contracting will restore the areas affected by Michels Corporation’s work. There will be no assessment or cost associated with our work.
