Project Status - Shakopee - Eagle Creek Boulevard
Crews from CenterPoint Energy finished construction on the natural gas distribution main along Eagle Creek Boulevard in Shakopee. The project began on August 1 and ended on August 15, involving the installation of the main and the restoration of the hard and soft surfaces.

Today on August 1, crews from Michels Corporation, an authorized contractor from CenterPoint Energy, began construction in the Eagle Creek Boulevard project in Shakopee.

What is CenterPoint Energy doing? Beginning approximately August 1, crews from Michels Corporation, an authorized contractor from CenterPoint Energy, will be installing approximately 566 feet of 6-inch natural gas pipeline along Eagle Creek Boulevard south of E. Vierling Drive.
Which lanes will be closed?
On Eagle Creek Boulevard, the right lane heading northwest will be closed during construction. Drivers heading northwest on Eagle Creek Boulevard toward Secretariat Drive can still make a right turn onto Secretariat Drive.
On the north side of Eagle Creek Boulevard, the sidewalk will be closed at Secretariat Drive between E. Vierling Drive and Pine Tree Lane.
A detour for the sidewalk will direct passengers north onto E. Vierling Drive or south onto Canterbury Road S.
