​​Natural Gas Line Upgrades in Victoria -Project Updates 

County Road 18: 4/15/2025

Work to install sections of modern natural gas main continues at the intersection of West 82 Street and Bavaria Road with the crew headed east on West 82 Street. We expect installation of the new main to be complete by early next week, the week of April 21. At that time, a service crew will arrive on site to replace service lines and connect existing lines to the new main. Customers with indoor gas meters will be contacted to schedule the relocation of their meter.


Traffic is not impacted at this time. CenterPoint encourages those traveling near the work zone to slow down and be aware of where crews are working. Help us to continue a safe start to construction season!

Natural gas construction updates

For a few months beginning as early as April 7, CenterPoint Energy will replace natural gas infrastructure in Victoria in two locations. Updates regarding the utility crew's location, traffic impacts and other details will be posted here regularly.


Before construction begins, an authorized contractor will be in the area to locate sewer lines in relation to natural gas lines. This is an important safety measure CenterPoint is required to take. It is possible a technician performing this work will need to access your home to locate sewer lines. Ask to see CenterPoint Energy identification before letting anyone in your home.
