​​Natural Gas Line Upgrades in Maple Grove - ​Project Updates  ​

Installation of modern gas main will be complete this week in the North Donahue area.

The service crew will continue to replace and connect service lines to the new sections of gas main in the street. For those with an indoor gas meter, the crew will make an appointment to have the meter relocated to the outside.

All main installation north of 65th Place North has been completed. This week, the crew will be working on Zinnia Lane North and Xenium Lane North, with the possibility of moving to Annapolis Lane North later in the week. At this time, we expect installation of the new gas main to be complete by the end of May.

A service crew is also in the North Donahue area, following behind the main crew. The service crew is replacing and connecting service lines to the new gas main in the road, and moving indoor gas meters outside.

Installation of modern natural gas main is complete along Berkshire Lane North between Sunnyslope Drive and 67th Avenue North.

This week, the crew will be working on 69th Avenue North, 67th Avenue North, and Zinnium Lane. After work is complete in those areas, the crew will move south on Berkshire Lane North and its connected roads.

The utility crew in Maple Grove is completing their efforts to connect new sections of gas main to existing main near the intersection of Sunnyslope Drive and Berkshire Lane North.

Next, the crew will begin work on 67th Avenue North, on the west side of Berkshire Lane North. On Tuesday, April 22, work will begin on 69th Avenue North.

By the end of this week, all gas main installation on Berkshire Lane North will be complete. Service work will begin in a few weeks, and temporary restoration may be seen until then.

At this time, street parking is restricted on either side of roads within the active work zone.

Work to install sections of modern natural gas main will take place this week at the north end of Berkshire Lane North at the intersection of 69 Avenue North. The crew will move south from there to 67 Avenue North.

At this time, street parking within the work zone is restricted, and one sidewalk is closed while the other remains in use. Our crews will work with residents to maintain access to their homes throughout the project. CenterPoint encourages those traveling near the work zone to slow down and be aware of where crews are working. Help us to continue a safe start to construction season!

For a few months beginning this spring, CenterPoint Energy will replace natural gas infrastructure in two locations in Maple Grove. Updates regarding the utility crew's location, traffic impacts and other details will be posted here regularly.

Before construction begins, an authorized contractor will be in the area to locate sewer lines in relation to natural gas lines. This is an important safety measure CenterPoint is required to take. It is possible a technician performing this work will need to access your home to locate sewer lines. Ask to see CenterPoint Energy identification before letting anyone in your home.
