Service work is expected to be complete by the end of this week. Restoration will begin a few weeks after that, and temporary restoration may be seen until then.
Thank you for your patience throughout the duration of our construction along Williams Drive. It is a privilege to provide your natural gas service.
Main installation along Williams Drive in Burnsville will be complete by the end of this week. An additional crew is on site replacing and connecting service lines to the new main, replacing gas meters and moving indoor meters outside.
We expect service work to be complete in the next few weeks. Restoration of impacted areas will begin when all construction is complete.
This week, the utility crew is working where Harmony Circle and Washburn Court intersect with Williams Drive. They are connecting the new sections of main to the existing infrastructure in the area.
Next week, the crews will begin installing modern main along Upton Avenue South and Penn Avenue South.
Installation of natural gas main along Williams Drive is complete between Judicial Road and Harmony Circle. Construction will continue, headed east.
At this time, we expect three more weeks of gas main construction, with service work and restoration to follow.
For a few months beginning this May, CenterPoint Energy will replace natural gas infrastructure in Burnsville. Updates regarding the utility crew's location, traffic impacts and other details will be posted here regularly.
Before construction begins, an authorized contractor will be in the area to locate sewer lines in relation to natural gas lines. This is an important safety measure CenterPoint is required to take. It is possible a technician performing this work will need to access your home to locate sewer lines. Ask to see CenterPoint Energy identification before letting anyone in your home.
