Project Status - Minnetonka - Shady Oak Road (County Road 61)
Crews from CenterPoint Energy have finished construction in the Shady Oak Road (County Road 61) project in Minnetonka from Plymouth Road to Aspen Ridge Drive. The project entailed the installation of about 1,600 feet of upgraded natural gas distribution main and the connection of about 25 gas service lines to the new main.
Right now, the final step is restoring the soft surfaces affected by construction. Hard-surface restoration has been completed. CenterPoint Energy wants to thank the residents and those affected by construction for their patience.
Crews from CenterPoint Energy are working on the Shady Oak Road (County Road 61) project in Minnetonka.
The project is expected to take until September 16, construction pending. The crews are installing about 1,600 feet of natural gas distribution main along the northern shoulder of Shady Oak Road (County Road 61) between Plymouth Road and Aspen Ridge Drive. They will also be connecting about 25 gas services to the new main.
There will be no total hard closures during the construction project. However, since the crews are working on the northern shoulder of Shady Oak Road, the crews will close the northern (northwest-bound) lane. There will be two lanes going north and south on Shady Oak Road for the duration of the construction.
