For about a week, beginning mid-June, CenterPoint Energy will replace natural gas infrastructure in the Whittier neighborhood. Updates regarding the utility crew's location, traffic impacts and other details will be posted here regularly.
Before construction begins, an authorized contractor will be in the area to locate sewer lines in relation to natural gas lines. This is an important safety measure CenterPoint is required to take. It is possible a technician performing this work will need to access your home to locate sewer lines. Ask to see CenterPoint Energy identification before letting anyone in your home.
