Overview
From Monday, May 15 into August 2023, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractors will work in Minneapolis’s Nicollet Island / East Bank neighborhood along 6th Street NE from 1st to 3rd Avenues NE and along 1st Avenue NE from Main Street NE to 6th Street NE.
While a natural gas contractor will replace a large-diameter natural gas main, Q3 Contracting will restore the areas affected by the gas crew’s work. There will be no assessment or cost associated with our work. This work is a continuation of last year’s project, which included the replacement of natural gas lines on 3rd Avenue NE from Main Street NE to 7th Street NE; 1st Avenue NE from Main Street NE to 6th Street NE; and 6th Street NE from 1st to 3rd Avenues NE.
Marking utilities
CenterPoint Energy will contact Gopher State One Call 811 to locate public underground utilities such as water, sewer, and cable. You will see markings such as spray paint and utility flags. They will be color-coordinated to indicate a separate utility.
