There are multiple crews in the Minnehaha area, working to move indoor gas meters outside, replace and reconnect service lines to gas main in the road. If your address has been identified for work, you will be contacted to schedule your meter move and service line reconnection.

One crew is present on 39th Avenue South at the south end of the work zone. Another is on 36th Avenue South.

Street parking is restricted in areas with active work. One sidewalk will be closed at a time while the other remains open.

What will CenterPoint Energy do?

For approximately three months this spring, CenterPoint Energy will replace the natural gas infrastructure in the Minnehaha Neighborhood. Updates regarding the utility crew's location, traffic impacts and other details will be posted here regularly.

Before construction begins, an authorized contractor will be in the area to locate sewer lines in relation to natural gas lines. This is an important safety measure CenterPoint is required to take. It is possible a technician performing this work will need to access your home to locate sewer lines. Ask to see CenterPoint Energy identification before letting anyone in your home.
