Crews from CenterPoint Energy are working on Minnehaha Avenue in Minneapolis between E. 32nd Street and E. 31st Street. Half of east Minnehaha Avenue will be closed for asphalt removal.
Traffic will be shifted to the west of Minnehaha Avenue. One lane will be maintained each way.
In the meantime, there will be no parking on both sides of Minnehaha Avenue between E. 32nd Street and E. 31st Street.

Crews from CenterPoint Energy are continuing to install gas pipelines in Minneapolis between Snelling Avenue, Minnehaha Avenue and 29th Avenue S.
On E. 32nd Street between Snelling Avenue and Minnehaha Avenue, crews will be working on the center lanes. Traffic will be shifted to the right lane in both directions. Crews anticipate that cars and bikes will share the same lanes until the end of June.
Crews placed "No Parking" signs on E. 32nd Street between Snelling Avenue and the alley between Snelling and Minnehaha Avenues. The "No Parking" restrictions will remain during construction.
On E. 32nd Street between 28th Avenue S. (next to Minnehaha Avenue) and 29th Avenue S., crews have closed westbound traffic and placed a detour sign. Eastbound traffic on E. 32nd Street is being maintained.
Continuing the Minnehaha project, a second crew moved into the project on Thursday June 9.
Northbound traffic on 26th Avenue S. between Lake Street and E. 29th Street will be shifted into the turn lane.
Meanwhile, the 4" and 2" main plastic pipelines are complete.
Crews from Michels Corporation, an authorized CenterPoint Energy contractor, are closing off parking and installing new gas pipelines along Minnehaha Avenue.
What should I expect about parking?
There will be no parking posted from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the following roads:
- east side of Minnehaha from 27th Avenue S. to 31st Street E.
- north side of 31st Street E. from Minnehaha Avenue to south of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church
- north and south sides of 32nd Street E. from Minnehaha Avenue to first alleyway
What should I expect about construction?
Crews are working on getting the new 4" plastic gas pipeline under the west side sidewalk of Minnehaha Avenue up to Patrick's Cabaret. Crews are also preparing gas crossing across Minnehaha Avenue just north of 31st Street E. to tie in to existing gas pipeline on the east side of Minnehaha, as well as installing a new 2" plastic gas pipeline under the sidewalk on the north side of 31st Street E. just past Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
