​10/8/2015 Update

Crews from Michels Corporation and Q3, two authorized CenterPoint Energy contractors, have finished construction and restoration along Garfield Avenue S.

We understand that the Garfield Avenue S. construction project was an inconvenience to people living, working and commuting in and around the area, so we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we worked to complete restoration as safely and quickly as possible.

10/1/2015 Update

Crews from Michels Corporation, an authorized CenterPoint Energy contractor, will finish replacing service lines along Garfield Avenue S. today, Thursday, October 1.

Crews from Q3, an authorized CenterPoint Energy contractor, are currently restoring the street and sidewalks. Soft surface restoration will follow shortly after.

Please anticipate intermittent lane shifts during restoration.

​9/16/2015 Update

Crews from Michels Corporation, an authorized CenterPoint Energy contractor, continue replacing service lines at scattered locations along Garfield Avenue S.

Representatives from CenterPoint Energy will continue to contact residents whose gas service may be affected to schedule the necessary construction work on their property. 

Please anticipate intermittent lane shifts and no parking along Garfield Avenue S. as crews continue replacing service lines through the end of next week. Thank you.

Crews from Michels Corporation, an authorized CenterPoint Energy contractor, will begin replacing service lines south of the intersection of Garfield Avenue S. and  57th Street W. on Thursday, September 10.

Representatives from CenterPoint Energy will contact residents whose gas service may be affected to schedule the necessary construction work on their property. If the gas meter is located inside your home or building, we will move it to an outside location.

Please anticipate intermittent lane shifts and no parking along Garfield Avenue S. as crews begin service line replacements.

The northbound Lyndale Avenue S. shoulder near 55th Street W. is now open.

Crews from Michels Corporation, an authorized CenterPoint Energy contractor, will finish installing natural gas pipeline along Garfield Avenue S. today, Wednesday, September 2.

Service line replacements will begin shortly. Representatives from CenterPoint Energy will contact residents whose gas service may be affected to schedule the necessary construction work on their property. If the gas meter is located inside your home or building, we will move it to an outside location.

Please anticipate intermittent lane shifts and no parking along Garfield Avenue S. as crews begin service line replacements.

The northbound Lyndale Avenue S. shoulder near 55th Street W. will be closed through next Tuesday, September 8.

Crews from Michels Corporation, an authorized CenterPoint Energy contractor, will begin installing natural gas pipeline at the intersection of Garfield Avenue S. and 55th Street W. tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26.
 
Crews will work southwards from this intersection along the east side of Garfield Avenue S. No parking signs are posted along the east side of Garfield Avenue S. in the areas of construction.
 
Please anticipate no parking along the east side of Garfield Avenue S. throughout the duration of the construction project.
 
Crews will install natural gas pipeline along Garfield Avenue S. for the next one and a half weeks. Service line replacements will follow.
