6/17/2016 Update

Construction is finished on Bryant Avenue N.


Crews from CenterPoint Energy have completed the installation of a gas pipeline on Bryant Avenue N. up to 53rd Avenue N. The project began in March 2016.

The remaining work is restoring the blacktop road, which is being completed by CenterPoint's contractor Q3. Restoration should be completed within June 2016.

5/10/2016 Update

Crews from Michels Corporation, an authorized CenterPoint Energy contractor, have completed construction up to 49th Avenue N. along Bryant Avenue N.

Representatives from CenterPoint Energy will continue to contact residents whose gas service may be affected to schedule the necessary construction work on their property. If the gas meter is located inside your home or building, we will move it to an outside location.

Please anticipate crews to complete five to seven service lines per day and continue working on service line replacements through May.

​4/15/2016 Update

Crews from Michels Corporation, an authorized CenterPoint Energy contractor, finished installing natural gas distribution pipe along Bryant Avenue N.

The crew onsite continues replacing service lines northwards along Bryant Avenue N., just north 46th Avenue N.

The sidewalk will be closed and parking will not be permitted on either side of Bryant Avenue N. in two block segments as construction progresses northwards.

Representatives from CenterPoint Energy will continue to contact residents whose gas service may be affected to schedule the necessary construction work on their property. If the gas meter is located inside your home or building, we will move it to an outside location.

Please anticipate crews to complete five to seven service lines per day and continue working on service line replacements through May.

​4/1/2016 Update

On Monday, April 4, crews from Michels Corporation, an authorized CenterPoint Energy contractor, will continue installing natural gas distribution pipe near the intersection of Bryant Avenue N. and 48th Avenue N.

Crews will be installing pipe northwards along the east sidewalk of Bryant Avenue N. towards 53rd Avenue N. The sidewalk will be closed and parking will not be permitted on the east side in two block segments as construction progresses.

Crews anticipate completing installation of pipeline and reaching 53rd Avenue N. by the end of next week.

Residents can also anticipate a second crew starting on Monday, April 4 at Bryant Avenue N. and 45th Avenue N. This crew will be replacing service lines and working on each side of Bryant Avenue N. Please anticipate crews to complete five to seven service lines per day.

​3/24/2016 Update

​​​​​Crews from Michels Corporation, an authorized CenterPoint Energy contractor, will begin installing natural gas distribution pipe near the intersection of Bryant Avenue N. and 45th Avenue N. on Monday, March 28.

Crews will be installing pipe northwards along the east sidewalk of Bryant Avenue N. towards 53rd Avenue N. The sidewalk will be closed in two block segments as construction progresses.

Crews anticipate reaching 49th Avenue N. by the end of next week.

Please note, representatives from CenterPoint Energy will be attending the City of Minneapolis' Pre-Public Meeting next Tuesday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Creekview Recreation Center to answer any questions or concerns.
