8/19/2016 Update

Crews from CenterPoint Energy have finished both phases of the Jarl Court project. The crews have been restoring the areas affected by construction with new blacktop road, dirt and seed.

8/11/2016 Update​

Crews from CenterPoint Energy are done with one of two phases in the Jarl Court project in Lakeville. They finished their work in the marsh south of Jarl Court. Now the crews are putting down black dirt and seed to restore the construction area.

Currently the crews are working on the second phase, which is taking place directly on Jarl Court. The crews have made temporary access for the residents to drive by the workers. By Thursday, August 11, the crews should be done with their work on Jarl Court’s pipe.

After the pipework is done, the crews will restore the pavement, which should take an additional day, construction pending. 



8/2/2016 Update

What is CenterPoint Energy doing?

Crews from Construction Maintenance, an internal crew from CenterPoint Energy, are performing the two five-foot cutouts of the 16-inch steel transmission line that runs under and south of Jarl Court in Lakeville.

The project is expected to last in two phases, each phase lasting 3 to 5 days. One phase will take place directly on Jarl Court, where crews will provide temporary access to residents coming to and from Jarl Court. The other phase will take place south of Jarl Court on a grassy patch of land.

Where are the crews now?

Currently the crews are working on one of the two phases in the Jarl Court project. CenterPoint Energy will continue to provide updates on the progress of construction. ​



7/1/2016 Update

In preparation for a City of Lakeville project, crews from Michels Corporation, an authorized contractor from CenterPoint Energy, will be upgrading natural gas pipeline in the Jarl Court neighborhood. Crews will be performing two 5-foot cutouts of the 16-inch steel transmission line that runs under and south of Jarl Court.

Construction is expected to begin the week of July 25, 2016. Crews will work in two phases. Each phase is expected to last about 3 to 5 days with respective traffic control. ​

South of Jarl Court

During one phase of the project, crews will reduce Jarl Court to one lane for approximately 3 to 5 days. Traffic will be maintained in both directions in the north lane.

Jarl Court

In another phase of the project, crews will cut out a section of the transmission line in the middle of Jarl Court. To provide access for the residents in the cul-de-sac, temporary access will be constructed on the south boulevard of Jarl Court. This construction is expected to last about 3 to 5 days.​
