Project Status - Shreveport - Phase 67
Crews from CenterPoint Energy have completed the Phase 67 project in Shreveport. The project encompassed the area between Southfield Road and E. 73rd and Line Avenue and E. Ridge Drive in the central area of the Shreveport district. (See map below.) Below are the construction details:
- The crews installed all the natural gas mains on the project.
- The crews connected the natural gas service lines to the installed mains.
- The crews are relocating the last of the gas meters in the work area.

Crews from CenterPoint Energy are nearing completion on the Phase 67 project in Shreveport. Below are the construction details:
- The crews have installed all the natural gas mains on the project.
- The crews are currently connecting the last of the natural gas service lines to the installed mains.
- The crews are relocating the gas meters in the work area. The work areas include Southfield Road, Creswell Avenue and Gilbert Drive.
Crews from CenterPoint Energy are currently installing services on Thornhill Avenue and Creswell Avenue.
Where is CenterPoint Energy now?
Crews from CenterPoint Energy are currently installing new natural gas mains along Gilbert Drive in Shreveport, and putting in natural gas service lines on Thora Boulevard, Azalea Lane, Southfield Avenue, and Creswell Avenue.
Where is CenterPoint Energy now?The crews are currently installing main on Line Ave and Pierremont Road. There have also been a few services installed in the area.
What is CenterPoint Energy doing for construction?Crews from CenterPoint Energy are replacing an existing natural gas pipeline in Shreveport. Project construction is expected to last until September 2017. (Any changes in project dates will be noted on CenterPoint Energy’s website.) The crews will be installing natural gas mains between Southfield Road and E. 73rd and Line Avenue and E. Ridge Drive in the central area of the Shreveport district.
How may construction affect customers?As part of this main project, the crews are also replacing several natural gas service lines that connect from the main to the customer’s property. Customers will experience a short disruption of gas service as the crews are installing the gas service line.
Crews may have to dig in the ground on your property in the utility easement to complete the task of service and main distribution line replacement. If a customer’s property is disturbed, CenterPoint Energy will restore the hard and soft surfaces affected by construction at no cost to you.
