Tracy Bridge

Tracy is executive vice president and president of CenterPoint Energy’s Electric Division. He was promoted to his current position in February 2014 and is responsible for the electric utility, Customer Operations, as well as Technology Operations.

To meet thriving economic growth, Tracy and his team are managing the largest capital program ever in the electric utility with a focus on growth, enhanced service reliability and system resiliency, and system maintenance.

Tracy started his CenterPoint Energy career as a regulatory attorney for the company’s gas operations in Minneapolis. During his tenure of over 22 years, he gained increasing levels of responsibility as leader of the regulatory affairs and government, media and community relations, as well as gas operations functions. Tracy moved to Houston in 2008 and led the Support Operations and Business Transformation groups for the gas and electric utilities, until being named president of Gas Operations in 2012.

He is the chair of the board of directors at Rebuilding Together Houston. Tracy is a past chair of the American Gas Association Rates and Strategic Issues Committee and past president of the Graceland University Yellowjacket Club. He previously served on the boards of the Southern Gas Association, the Greater Houston Chapter of American Red Cross, Minnesota Business Partnership, the Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation, the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery and the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce.

Tracy received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Graceland College and a Juris Doctorate from Drake University Law School. He has also completed advanced business and utility courses at the University of Michigan, the University of Idaho and the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University.
