Pole Replacement

Since Sep. 1, 2024, crews have installed and replaced more than 26,000 poles as part of the GHRI commitments. We will continue to install or replace existing wooden poles with stronger ones including composite poles, capable of withstanding extreme winds.

 
 
 
 
 

Weather Stations

Since April 1, 2025, we have installed 100 advanced weather stations to help improve situational awareness and storm preparation.

 

Self-healing automation devices and IGSDs

Since September 1, 2024, we have installed more than 4,500 automated reliability devices and more than 350 intelligent grid switching devices to help reduce the impact of outages and improve restoration times.

 
 
 
 

Vegetation management

Over 4,000 miles of vegetation has been trimmed or removed from distribution line miles with higher-risk veget​​ation across our system.

 

Undergrounding

Undergrounded more than 400 miles of power lines.

Our Action Center offers resources for storm preparedness, safety tips, outage updates and restoration information to keep you informed during an outage or emergency event.
