Heating System Rebates

CenterPoint Energy's high efficiency heating rebate program provides rebates of up to $200 to customers who upgrade or replace their furnace or boiler to a high-efficiency model. Customers can save money today, and in years to come, with lower energy bills. Rebate levels are:

• $100 rebate for installing a natural gas forced air furnace with 92% or higher AFUE
• $150 rebate for installing a natural gas forced air furnace with 94% or higher AFUE
• $200 rebate for installing a boiler with 83.5% or higher AFUE

 

Water Heater Rebates

These rebates are available to CenterPoint Energy customers who purchase a qualifying high efficiency natural gas tank water heater with a .62 Energy Factor (EF) or higher*. (Tankless or instantaneous water heaters do not qualify for this rebate.)  The two rebate levels are:

• $50 rebate for installing a high-efficiency natural gas tank water heater with .62 EF or higher, and
• $75 rebate for installing a high-efficiency natural gas tank water heater with .64 EF or greater.

* EF is the ratio of annual useful energy in the heated water to the annual water heater energy consumption, or the energy going into the water heater.
