Air sealing and insulation Rebate

Air Sealing and Insulation Rebate Air sealing and insulation will improve the heating and cooling efficiency of your home all year long.

By upgrading your home’s attic insulation from R30 to R50 and sealing attic bypasses, you could earn a rebate up to $500.

Measure Rebate
Attic Air Sealing Only 30% of costs, $300 maximum
Attic Air Sealing + Qualifying Attic Insulation 30% of costs, $500 maximum

Attic air sealing is required in order to qualify for this rebate; insulation-only projects are not rebate-eligible.

How the Program Works – 3 Easy Steps!
Step 1 – Audit:
Complete a qualifying Home Energy Audit
Step 2 – Install: Professional installation of qualifying measures
Step 3 – Apply:  Submit rebate application materials

More on Step 1: Complete a Qualifying Home Energy Audit

CenterPoint Energy’s Standard Energy Audit will satisfy this requirement. A third-party home energy audit will also be accepted provided the audit includes a blower door test performed by a home energy auditor certified according to Minnesota state requirements. The audit must be completed before the installation of qualifying upgrade measures. Audit results are valid up to three years prior to the completion of installation work. A post-installation blower door test will not satisfy this requirement. CenterPoint Energy’s $25 Walk-Through Audit will not satisfy this rebate program requirement.
