Payment Assistance Programs

Our customers are important to us. That’s why we have programs to assist customers who experience financial hardship. If you are or anticipate having trouble paying your natural gas bill, please contact us right away. Do not wait until you receive a disconnection/shut-off notice or your natural gas service has been disconnected.

Payment arrangements

You may be eligible for payment arrangements, including a credit extension of up to 30 days and/or a Delayed Payment Agreement, which may allow for repayment of your bill over several months. Other factors, such as your age, health and income status, may qualify you for additional services. Contact us today for more information.

Lend a helping hand

CenterPoint Energy sponsors programs that provide utility bill assistance for families in need, aiding thousands of CenterPoint Energy customers, including seniors, families with young children, and customers with disabilities each year. These programs are primarily funded through donations from generous customers like you, and can be conveniently added to your monthly bill. CenterPoint Energy gives the donations to local charities such as the American Red Cross, the United Way, and the Salvation Army to fund programs that help our neighbors manage their natural gas expenses. Donations are tax-deductible. If you would like to contribute, contact us.
