For a small convenience fee, CenterPoint Energy customers can pay by credit card or electronic check payments at anytime using BillMatrix, a third-party, secure, automated bill payment system.
Have the following information ready:

Your full CenterPoint Energy account number as it appears on your most recent bill, without spaces or the dash.

Your credit/debit card or a blank check

The dollar amount you wish to pay

Once the transaction is complete, you will receive a six-digit authorization confirmation code.

Payments made by 6 p.m. will post to your CenterPoint Energy account the following business day. Payments made after 6 p.m. will take two business days.
FREE Online Billing: CenterPoint Energy also offers a FREE Online Billing service to customers who wish to pay their bill from their checking or savings account each month.
