Two things generally affect the price you pay for natural gas

• The prices we pay our suppliers, which are influenced by supply and demand economics.
• Weather patterns, which influence the amount of natural gas you use and overall demand for available supplies.

How your energy dollars are split

• The largest portion of your gas bill--typically 80 to 90 percent-- is the actual cost of the gas you use. We pass this amount through to you from our suppliers with no price mark-up. The price varies monthly according to market conditions.
• The remaining 10 to 20 percent of your total bill is our costs for providing you with natural gas service.

Note: For Dual Fuel customers, a slightly higher percentage of the monthly bill is the actual cost of gas used.
